HAYES and Yeading striker Nathan Elder is poised to extend his loan stay with League Two outfit Hereford United.

The 26-year-old has fired two goals in five games to lift strugglers Hereford and boss Jamie Pitman is keen to prolong Elder's initial one-month loan stint at Edgar Street.

Ex-AFC Wimbledon hit-man Elder struggled to make an impact with Hayes and Yeading, but it has been a different story since switching to Hereford at the end of last month.

"He's been fantastic and has fitted in well with his performances and how hard he is working," said Pitman. "At the moment he is on loan from Hayes and Yeading and we are looking to continue with that loan period until January."
