JAKE Bidwell admits Brentford were left to rue missed chances after they crashed out of the JPT on penalties at Barnet last night.

The on-loan Everton left-back made his Bees debut following his switch from Goodison Park last month, putting in an impressive display as the tie ended goalless after 90 minutes.

However, Jonathan Douglas's miss in the shoot-out saw Barnet edge it 5-3 on spot-kicks.

“I was pleased to play and get through the game, but obviously disappointed with the result,” said Bidwell.

“I thought we did enough to win the tie in the 90 minutes as we had a few good chances. On another day we could've won by two or three, but on the night it wasn't to be.”
