SPIN king Sohail Elahi bowled Wycombe House to their first league win of the season on Saturday.

Ably assisted by Salman Choudhary, Elahi ripped through the Barnes order to finish with figures of 5-67 as the opposition was bowled out for 160.

That was just eight runs short of the target House set them, batting first and being bowled out for 168.

Arminder Buttar (37) and Akshay Deshmukh (20) steadied the ship following the loss of an early wicket with a partnership of 50, while Mandip Sohi (41) and Carl Burdett (20) restored order after another flurry of wickets.

BEDFONT 62 beat Turnham Green by 74 runs

WAYNE Heighes failed narrowly to beat his own batting record with a superb knock of 156 for Bedfont 62 on Saturday.

He sent the ball to all parts of the boundary, and over it, with ease as Bedfont notched up 283-6, Steve Gould chipping in with 37 and Jamie Read unbeaten on 25.

Green made a gallant effort but came up short in reply, with Nick Beard taking 2-36 and Paul Edwards 3-34 as they finished on 209-8 from their 40 overs.

Harrow St Mary beat OSTERLEY by one wicket

OSTERLEY lost a rain-affected game against Harrow St Mary with just seven balls left on Saturday.

Bowled out for 181, Osterley looked to have Harrow on the ropes at one point as their opponents struggled to 67-5

They ended up taking nine wickets, but Harrow held on and passed Osterley's total with time running out.


SUBHASH Choudhary's knock of 81 helped Indian Gymkhana to an 86-run win over MTSSC on Saturday.

Sagardeep Kohil also made 39 as Gymkhana batted their way to 224-8.

Choudhary then took 3-35, and Kunal Patel 5-52, as MTSSC were bowled out for 138.

CHISWICK & LATYMER beat Basingstoke A by two wickets

RAHUL PANTA was the star with both bat and ball for Chiswick & Latymer on Saturday.

He first took 4-75, ably assisted by Ameya Madkeikar's 4-101, as Basingstoke made 222-9.

Panta then struck a century, hitting 101 as Chiswick replied with 223-8.
