ACTON Ealing Whistlers U9 As continued their unbeaten start to the season with a 12-2 victory over Headstone Manor Bs.

The Whistlers had five different scorers, with the pick of the goals being Tommy Degge's long-range volley. Louis Miles finished a great team move for another quality goal, while Cyril Preudhomme scored four.

Tyrese Vassel got another hat-trick to take his tally to 12 in six games. The cheekiest goal of the day was by Finlay Hogg, for claiming a deflection off another Preudhomme piledriver. Special praise goes to Sam Burvil and Rory Deehan for their brilliant defensive partnership.

Whistlers U9 Bs' four-match unbeaten run came to an end with a 1-0 home defeat by Wealdstone U9 B. The first half started well with Yu Tanaka's long-range shot crashing against the post. Wealdstone had to keep out some great shots from man of the match Yuta Higuchi before breaking out to score.

Whistlers keeper Adam Gurikyan made a superb diving save to keep out the initial shot, but the rebound got stuck in the mud and the visiting striker was quickest to react. James Cooper impressed up front in the losing cause.

Elsewhere, the U10s won 3-0 at Gibbons Wrecker Youth with goals from Joe Iguchi, Taichi Watanabe and Mason Hay, from the penalty spot - Roland Kiss doing a fine job in goal. The U14 As beat Ruislip Rangers 6-1 in a cup tie. Kenny Harper opened the scoring with a penalty before adding a second with a low, 15-yard drive. Yuki Murata also scored two goals with Saleh Zaheer and Jamie Buist completing the stroll. Man of the match Eden Miller played a part in the first three goals.
