FARID El Alagui made a goalscoring return to action as Brentford's development side beat Charlton Athletic this afternoon.

The former Falkirk frontman hasn't played since the beginning of October after suffering a serious knee injury, but was on the scoresheet as the Bees U21s beat the Addicks 4-2 at the club's Jersey Road training base.

Brentford skipper Kevin O'Connor also made his comeback in the game following a long lay-off with an ankle problem.

On-loan Arsenal midfielder Josh Rees bagged a brace, while Emmanuel Oyeleke was also on the mark as the Bees came from behind to earn the points.
