TEENAGE triathlon star Sky Draper left Formula One world champion Jensen Button trailing in her wake with a stunning performance in race two of the 220 Triathlon Evening Series.
More then 250 men and women competed in the race at the weekend, which included a 750m swim, 20km bike ride, and 5km run.
Despite her being the youngest competitor at 14 years of age, Draper showed superb cornering, handling and acceleration to finish as fastest female by six minutes, finishing a good three minutes ahead of Button at Eton College Rowing Centre.
After starting with Button in wave two, the Northwood College student and Harrow Athletic Cub starlet forged a commanding lead of 15 metres in the swim.
She proved herself on the bike as well, by extending her lead with a time of 30.55, before completing the two-lap run in 19.30 to take third overall
Draper can be proud of her 1.01.36 time as it was only beaten by two 30-something men.
After the race, Button congratulated Draper and the pair enjoyed a warm down run, before she dashed off to compete for the Hillingdon borough team in the London Youth Games.
