NICOLE Gibbs and Rishi Shah led the roll of honour at Hatch End Lawn Tennis Club's championship finals recently.

Nicole won the junior mixed doubles with her brother Matt, overcoming Alison Gilmore and Edward Harrison 6-3, 7-6 before overcoming Gilmore again, this time in the U18s girl's singles final, 4-6, 6-4, 6-4.

Shah, 15, came from a set down in the men's singles to beat Tim Duncan 3-6, 7-5, 6-3 and later added the U18s boys title to his trophy cabinet with a 6-1, 7-5 triumph over Matt Gibbs.

Gill Gibbs lost the ladies singles 2-6, 2-6 to Sarah Williams in the first match of the day at the Clonard Way courts, and was also on the losing side in the ladies doubles as she and partner Valerie Piper lost their crown to Hilary Lewis and Sally Witham 4-6, 4-6.

Andy Donald and Brendan Jowett reclaimed the men's doubles title with a 4-6, 6-2, 6-1 victory over club coach Simon Lazenby and Wayne Harrington-Green, while the mixed doubles trophy was sealed by Caroline Carneiro and Tim Duncan, who beat Gill Gibbs and Ed Harrison.

Greg Harrington-Green beat James Hardwidge in the U15 boy's singles while James Hardwidge and Hugh Medcalf brushed aside Jay Patel and Harrington-Green in the U15 boy's doubles.
