WEALDSTONE strengthened their squad with two new signings this week.
Boss Gordon Bartlett’s rebuilding project has continued with the addition of Jack Hutchinson and Jerome Okimo (pictured).
The club has lost a few key players during the close-season and Bartlett was delighted to welcome the talented young duo to Grosvenor Vale.
“These are two very good young players,” he said.
“We have previously had great success with signing young, up and coming players – we took Richard Jolly when he was an 18-year-old – and we are doing as we have done previously at Wealdstone to everyone’s benefit.
“The rest of last year’s squad all want to stay with us and we are looking forward to the start of pre-season training in two week’s time.”
Attacking midfielder Hutchison appeared for Wingate and Finchley last season in the Ryman Premier and won their Young Player of the Season accolade.
Okimo is a versatile left-sided player who can play in both midfield and defence to give Bartlett plenty of flexibility with his team selections next term.
The winner of Chalfont St Peter’s Player’s and Supporter’s Player of the Year Awards last season, Okimo attracted interest from League One Colchester United.
Meanwhile, Bartlett’s new goalkeeper, Ben Goode looks set to return to AFC Hayes to gain more experience next season.
