JONATHAN Meades faces a race against time to be fit for Saturday's crunch clash with York.

The AFC Wimbledon utility man is still struggling with a foot injury that has ruled him out of the games against Plymouth and Cheltenham.

And boss Neal Ardley admits the young Welshman is touch and go to be ready in time to face the Minstermen.

He said: “Jon's foot's still sore. He's the kind of boy who will run through brick walls for you but he's in pain every time he kicks a ball.

“He's got deep bone bruising and I honestly don't know if he will be ready in time for the weekend.

“We'll have to see how he is tomorrow, and hopefully he can train on Thursday.”

But Peter Sweeney (foot), Jim Fenlon (back) and Will Antwi (hip) are definitely out.
