TERRY Brown is confident of wrapping up a deal to keep star striker Jack Midson at AFC Wimbledon in the next seven days.

The former Oxford United frontman took his debut season with the Dons by storm, smashing 20 goals in all competitions.

Rotherham United saw a six-figure bid for the Dons hotshot rebuffed earlier this month, while League Two rivals Bristol Rovers have also been monitoring his situation closely.

However, boss Brown insists the Dons are close to striking a deal to keep the 28-year-old at Kingsmeadow .

He said: "We hope to have it finalised this week once [chief executive] Erik [Samuelson] gets back from holiday.

"It's more or less all sorted."
