NEAL Ardley has made bringing in a new left-back one of his main priorities as he looks for the final pieces of his AFC Wimbledon jigsaw.

The Dons boss has signed seven players as part of a massive summer overhaul at Kingsmeadow, with a further two or three new faces expected through the door.

Wimbledon released Chris Hussey at the end of the season after a disappointing return to KT1, while Warren Cummings is out of favour.

And although Jim Fenlon, George Francomb, Andy Frampton and Chris Arthur could fill in, Ardley wants a recognised left-back to fill the void.

He said: “It's a position we are looking at. We have players who can fill in there but we want to get a specialist.”
