I'm alright Jack – was how James Degale saw his upcoming WBC Silver super middleweight title contest against the undefeated Gevorg Khatchikian last night.

The Jack in question is Sweden's Badou Jack, slated to meet the former Olympic champion in a final WBC eliminator for the world title, provided DeGale gets Khatchikian out of the way first when the two clash for the west Londoner’s WBC Silver super middleweight title at the City Academy, Bristol, on March 1.

"You can really expect me to go in there and do the business,” said the Harlesden fighter and former member of Dale Youth BC in North Kensington.

“I can't see this going the full 12 rounds - I'm looking to send a statement to Jack,” DeGale added.

"After this performance, I'm not too sure if he's (Jack) going to want to fight me, but, he's going to have to if he wants a chance at that world title.

"But, I'm taking it one fight at a time and I'm looking forward to this one on March 1.”
