MICHAEL Mancienne is unsure if his long-term future lies at Stamford Bridge.

The Chelsea defender is nearing the end of his third loan spell with relegation threatened Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Having progressed well under the guidance of Mick McCarthy at Molineux, the former England-Under-21 cente-back is due to rejoin the Blues at the end of the season.

But now Mancienne   has hinted that he could make a permanent move to the West Midlands after thriving in his preferred defensive role.

"I've got to go back to Chelsea," said the 23-year-old.

"But beyond that, I can't say what's going to happen because I don't know myself.

"It feels good to be back involved. I'm really enjoying it again because I'm playing in the position I came here for.

"Playing alongside Jody [Craddock] is a massive help as well. He's a big character and he's a great defender."
