CRAIG Woodman has been told he still has a future at Brentford, despite Jake Bidwell's loan from Everton being extended by another month.

When the attack-minded Bidwell initially signed earlier in the season, he and the more defensive Woodman shared left-back duties.

Bidwell has since emerged as boss Uwe Rosler's number one choice in the position, and Woodman has only made three appearances in the last three months.

But Rosler said: “We've not had a lot of games recently, but with a run of 13 games in six weeks coming up, Craig will definitely be getting a chance.

“Is says a lot for the impact Jake has made that he is keeping a good, solid League One defender like Craig out of the side.

“Jake gives us that momentum going forward and has been putting in some superb crosses, which has been keeping him ahead of Craig.

“We will have Jake for at least one more month. He is happy here, and Everton are happy with him being here.”
