WARREN Cummings has left AFC Wimbledon after having his contract cancelled by mutual consent.

The Chronicle revealed on Monday that the Dons were set to open talks with the former Bournemouth contract with view to a financial settlement.

And the club have now confirmed the 32-year-old has been released to pursue other opportunities.

Cummings made just 12 appearances for Wimbledon last season after being signed on a two-year deal by former boss Terry Brown.

However, he featured just a handful of times since Neal Ardley took over last October, with the arrival of Callum Kennedy in the close season spelling the end for the experienced Scot.
