BRENTFORD winger Stuart Dallas hopes his pre-season form can boost his chances of a regular first-team spot.

The Northern Irishman made 11 appearances during his first year at Griffin Park following his move from part-timers Crusaders.

Dallas bagged a brace in last night's 3-1 win at Boreham Wood – his third goal in as many games.

And the 22-year-old hopes he can push on even further this campaign.

He said: “I really enjoyed my first year here. It was a rollercoaster, there were a lot of ups and downs.

“On a personal note it was a very good season for me. When I came in it was completely different to what I was used to, in terms of the full-time training.

“I played more than I expected and hopefully I can push on this year. My aim is to try and get more games. We've got a great squad and there's a lot of competition for places.

“The gaffer likes to rotate a lot, so hopefully I can get a look in.”
