Nobody was capable of challenging veteran Paul Holdsworth in the Hounslow & District Wheelers Good Friday 25.
Holdsworth rode powerfully to win by almost two minutes from runner-up Rob Gilmour, clocking just under an hour.
But the outstanding ride of the day came from 20-year-old David Brown, from Staines, who took the handicap prize and fourth place overall.
A sport science student at Nottingham Trent University, Brown's time of 1hr 3mins 28secs was a personal best, which the tough West of Windsor course does not normally lend itself to. David, who lives in Staines, is in the second year of his degree and is clearly on an upward trajectory in his chosen sport.
