A win for Wealdstone against high-flying Staines Town tonight is one of two components which could transform their season, says manager Gordon Bartlett.
The Stones take on the 'Massive', currently second in the Ryman Premier, at Grosvenor Vale on the back of a fine win at Margate and Bartlett knows back-to-back league wins would really set things up nicely for Saturday's FA Trophy second qualifying round tie with Tiverton Town.
Bartlett believes a triumph tonight and against the Devonshire outfit, a match also at the Vale, could tranform the Stones' indifferent season so far.
"Staines are very well fancied to go up this season and they will provide us with a good test," said the manager. "The lads are going into it with a positive frame of mind. Then we've got Tivvy and the two games, while at home, will be difficult.
"But a bit of success in both of these could turn our season around as winning is a nice habit to get into."
