UXBRIDGE will be hoping for a better season in the Southern League Division One Central this term and their quest for promotion starts against Barton Rovers.

The Reds last season failed to replicate the success off two years ago when they reached the play-offs, only managing a mid-table Division One Central finish in 2012-13.

They will be looking to push further up the ladder this time round and are set for a derby clash with rivals AFC Hayes on Boxing Day.

The final game of the season will be a trip to newly-promoted Dunstable Town's Creasey Park stadium.

Meanwhile, AFC Hayes restart the year-long battle against newly-promoted Aylesbury before taking on Ashford Town away from home.

The Brook will close the season with a home match against last-year's second-place finishers Rugby Town.

Mark Burgess (pictured) and his Northwood team will visit Slough Town before taking on newly-promoted Dunstable Town at home in their opening fixtures.

Barton Rovers' Sharpenhoe Road will then host Northwood for their final game of the season.

The first matches of the new season are scheduled to kick off on 17 August at 3pm.
