CHISWICK Futsul Club will begin their crucial FA National Futsul League campaign against Futsal Club Enfield at home in September.

The club have a busy pre-season schedule as they busy preparing for the start of the season, with friendlies against the Saints, Bristol and Birmingham and their home games are based at Brentford Fountain Leisure Centre.

The club will also take part in the FA Futsal Cup, and will join the knockout competition in the second round in March 2017.

First team manager, Peter Prickett said: "It’s already been a big year for this futsal club. We are now looking forward to taking our first steps at a higher level.

“From here on it’s all about commitment and hard work - from the management team, the players and myself.”

Chiswick will face Pro Futsul London away on Sunday 18th September before playing the remaining 12 league games of the season over the remaining five months before the FA Futsal Cup.

The current format of the FA National Futsal League is that the top two placed clubs in Division Two will have the chance to take their place in the English top flight.

These two sides play against each other in order to win the right to take part in a play-off against the bottom Super League club.

These games will be played from March 2017, with the final culminating in May 2017.

Formed last year, the club aims to promote the sport of British futsal and engaging in the local community.

Futsal is a fast-paced small-sided football game that is widely played across the world and is officially recognised by both UEFA and FIFA.

The game places a large emphasis on technical skill and high pressure, and is subsequently an excellent breeding ground for football competencies that can be translated into the game’s usual format.
