JEFFREY Bruma will remain at Hamburg next season.
The 20-year-old Chelsea defender signed for the German club last summer on an initial one-year loan deal with the option of a second term.
And having made 22 starts in the Bundesliga last season both clubs are understood to have agreed to extend the youngster’s stay.
Hamburg sporting director Frank Arnesen was influential in taking the Netherlands international to the Imtech Arena after he too made the move from Stamford Bridge weeks earlier.
Bruma joined Chelsea from Feyenoord as a 15-year-old in 2007 and has made nine appearances for the Blues since his debut in 2009.
