CHELSEA will continue to monitor the rehabilitation of Gary Cahill and David Luiz as the pair race to be fit for the FA Cup final.
The injured duo are training at the club’s Cobham base and the Blues’ medical team will assess them in the next 48-hours ahead of their trip to Wembley.
Interim Chelsea manager Roberto Di Matteo admits he is unsure whether the pair will be available for selection but is keeping a close eye on the defenders.
“We’ll have to see how their rehab is progressing in the next couple of days,” explained the Blues chief on Wednesday night.
Cahill damaged his hamstring against Barcelona in the Nou Camp, while Luiz suffered a similar injury in 5-1 FA Cup semi-final victory over Tottenham.
Both are expected to be fit for the Champions League final at the very latest.
