SALOMON Kalou believes playing in the Champions League final on home soil at Wembley would be the “best scenario ever”.

Chelsea face Copenhagen on Wednesday evening with a place in the quarter-finals of Europe’s premier club competition at stake.

And the Ivorian says the lure of a Wembley final is added incentive for the Blues as they look to avenge the heartbreak of their 2008 final defeat against Manchester United in Moscow.

Kalou said: “Imagine playing a Champions League final at home - that would be the best scenario ever.

"We have played so many times at Wembley, it would be like a home game.

"We are motivated, we know it is a long journey to get there, but we will take it game by game.

"It is very important to be focused, that is the only way we can get to the final."
