RAMIRES and Gary Cahill are touch and go for Chelsea’s trip to Southampton on Saturday.

Cahill is struggling with a knee problem and missed England’s World Cup qualifiers against San Marino and Montenegro.

Samba star Ramires picked up a thigh strain against West Ham recently and was forced to pull out of Brazil’s squad for their match with Russia.

Blues boss Rafa Benitez will monitor the duo tomorrow before making a final call on his team selection for the St Mary’s clash.

Benitez said: “Cahill is still working with the physios. Still we have a couple of days and we will see. They could be involved, but it will be close.”

The Chelsea manager may decide against risking the duo as he prepares to welcome Manchester United to Stamford Bridge just two days later.
