MORE THAN 300 aspiring young footballers headed to Goals Gillette Corner in Isleworth last Saturday to show off their football skills at the launch of the Samsung Free Kicks for Kids campaign.
The youngsters who attended the free sessions at the Goals Centre, off MacFarlane Lane, were trained by coaches from the current European champions Chelsea.
The nationwide classes which are being run at 24 Goals Soccer Centres throughout the UK over 32 different Saturdays between April and November and will provide 16,000 boys and girls with one hours’ free football coaching.
Goals Gillette Corner Centre Manager James Brignell said: “It’s a great start to the campaign and really pleasing to see so many children taking part.
“The Chelsea coaches were on hand throughout the sessions to give the children expert advice on how to improve their game, and it didn’t matter if they had been playing for years or have never kicked a ball before, the kids all seemed to really enjoy themselves.”
