CHELSEA interim boss Roberto Di Matteo insists his long-term future at the club is ‘not important’ as the club chases Champions League glory.

Speculation is rife that Blues owner Roman Abramovich has targeted departing Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola to replace him in the Stamford Bridge hotseat this summer.

Di Matteo remains coy on his position as manager and instead wants to focus on football matters as the Blues gear up for their crunch clash with Bayern Munich in eight days time.

“I’m not important here,” said Di Matteo. “This is about the club and the players and the focus to be able to finish the season.

“It’s not about me. The players have a fantastic opportunity in the Champions League final.  I always will have a good relationship with the fans and I’ve got a legacy. I’m just focused on doing my job.”
