ROBERTO Di Matteo is flying out to Germany on a Bayern Munich scouting mission tonight.
The Bavarians are due to face off against Borussia Dortmund in the DFB-Pokal final at Berlin’s Olympiastadion this evening.
And interim Chelsea boss Di Matteo will be in the crowd to cast an eye over his side’s opponents in next weekend’s Champions League final as he prepares to lead the Blues into the breach at the Allianz Arena.
“I’m going to go and watch them on Saturday night in their cup final,” revealed Di Matteo. “I have seen them before. I saw them in the two semi-finals and in the group stage [of the Champions League].
“I know it’s in Munich but the stadium will be half-half and it’s a one-off game. I’ve seen them play home and away. They're supposed to be the best team and I think we have a fantastic group of players with tremendous quality and belief.”
