A STRING of Championship clubs are tracking former Brentford defender Karleigh Osborne .

The 24-year-old quit Griffin Park this week after turning down a new deal in TW8 as he wants to test himself at a higher level.

Nottingham Forest, Hull City and Charlton Athletic have shown an interest in the centre-back, who is available on a free transfer.

The Addicks are long-time admirers of Osborne, having had FOUR bids rejected for the Bees youth-team graduate last summer.

Chris Powell is believed to still be keen to take him to the Valley, while Hull and Forest have also joined the race.

Osborne made his Football League debut against the Tigers in 2005, and went on to make 185 appearances for Brentford.
