CHARLIE MacDonald is set to be offered a new deal after having it rubber-stamped by the  Brentford board.

The striker is out of contract in the summer, but has said he is keen to stay in TW8.

And Bees boss Andy Scott has moved to try and tie the 10-goal former Charlton frontman to Griffin Park beyond the end of the season.

He said: "I told Charlie, even before I went to the board, that I want him to stay. But we now have a contract to offer him, and I feel it’s one which will persuade Charlie to stay with us."
