THE fifth annual Ladies Open at Pinner Hill Golf Club has been hailed as a resounding success with more entrants than ever taking part.
Around 99 ladies from 27 clubs converged on Pinner Hill and the Hendon team of Rita Davidson, Irene Lee and Pat Rex came first in the Stableford event with 80 points.
The Woburn team of Jan Henshaw, Pat Smithie and Pauline Stocks came second with 78 points while Ellesborough's Elinor Lobban, Glynis Lambert and Susanne Asbury scored 76 points for third.
Meanwhile, Carol Masters won the club's June Medal Silver Division with a net score of 75 and also the June Stableford with 46 points; Askale Daley took bronze with 69 and Vivien Gray won the Copper Division with 77.
