IT APPEARS to be a two-horse race for the Hayes & Yeading number one shirt.

Former AFC Wimbledon keeper Mikhael Jaimez-Ruiz and Cambridge United youngster Will Norris are being considered for the role.

Venezuelan Jaimez-Ruiz was released by the Dons this summer and turned out for United in Saturday’s pre-season victory at Arlesey Town.

But United manager Phil Babb is looking at several options and was believed to be looking at Cambridge’s exciting shot-stopper on Tuesday night.

With the Conference South season kicking off this Saturday at home to Bromley, Babb will have to make a decision quickly about who is going to play between the sticks.

Craig Bradshaw, who has featured regularly in goal in pre-season, has joined Combined Counties side Westfield.
