BRENTFORD have extended the loan of Tottenham Hotspur youngster Nathan Byrne by another month.

The 18-year-old has made five appearances for the Bees since moving to Griffin Park four weeks ago.

Byrne told the Gazette he was keen to stay in west London for the rest of the season in a bid to get first-team football after being stuck in the reserves at White Hart Lane.

And Spurs boss Harry Redknapp has given the winger the green light to remain with Brentford for another month.
