KIRK Hudson will ask Brentford boss Andy Scott to go on loan in a bid to get regular first-team football.

The former Aldershot Town flyer had a nightmare start to his Bees career, picking up a groin injury a week before the start of the season, which ruled him out for almost two months.

He has made just four sub appearances since his switch from the Recreation ground in the summer, and has spent much of his time kicking his heels on the sidelines.

Lewis Grabban 's return to Millwall has pushed him up the pecking order for a place on the right wing, but he still faces competition from Sam Wood, Robbie Simpson and Sam Saunders.

And Hudson reckons a short stint away from Griffin Park could kick-start his season.

He said: "I will ask to go and get some games somewhere.

"It's frustrating sitting in the stands – I hate it. I've been playing regularly for the past three or four years.

"There's not many reserve games, and training's very different to a match."
