BRENTFORD want Harry Forrester's future decided by the time the squad return for pre-season training on Tuesday.

Forrester, who is out on contract, was due to meet club sporting director Mark Warburton last Monday to thrash out the player's future, but the meeting was put off until later this week as the winger had just returned from holiday.

Warburton instead chatted to Forrester's agent and made what he believes to be a 'very good offer' to the former Watford and Aston Villa man.

“We're just waiting for feedback from the player now,” said Warburton. “We've made him a very good offer, and we're hoping he follows the example of the lead of Jake Bidwell and commits his future to us.

“We value Harry very highly, but we value a lot of our players very highly, and we only want players who want to be here.

“I've known Harry since he was 12, and in my opinion, Brentford is the best place for him to develop. But we want it sorted by the time the players come back on Tuesday.”
