BRENTFORD boss Andy Scott paid tribute to Robbie Simpson after Tuesday night's win against Charlton.
Simpson suffered a family bereavement last week when his sister-in-law passed away, but the 25-year-old still managed to put in an impressive display in the JPT penalty shoot-out victory.
And Scott has now granted the on-loan Huddersfield Town frontman, who is unable to play against his parent club this weekend, compassionate leave to spend time with his family.
He said: "Robbie came in and did very well. Unfortunately he lost his sister-in-law at a very young age on Friday, but credit to him, he wanted to be involved.
"It's a very tough time for his family. We've given him some time off now because he can't play on Saturday, but it's a very sad moment for him."
