BRENTFORD today clinched the permanent signing of Jake Bidwell from Everton – as predicted by the Chronicle five days ago.

Last week, we revealed the Bees were very close to landing the left-back, who has enjoyed two successful loan spells at Griffin Park.

The 20-year-old has now put pen to paper on a three-year contract after swapping Goodison Park for Griffin Park for an undisclosed fee,

The England U19 international has made 75 appearances for the Bees, having made his first team debut for Everton in a Europa League tie against BATE Borisov in December 2009.
