BRENTFORD boss Andy Scott has released triallist Chad Coombes .

The New Zealand international has been training with the Bees , and played 45 minutes at right-back in Wednesday night's 5-0 friendly defeat to Fulham.

But boss Scott has decided not to offer the 26-year-old utility man a deal.

Coombes said: "Brentford said I had done really well but they couldn't give me a contract."

He was missing from the Bees side that were held to a goalless draw by Tonbridge Angels yesterday, and instead turned out for Hayes & Yeading as a second-half sub in their defeat to Wycombe Wanderers.
