BRENTFORD have shown the door to striker Mike Grella after less than six months at Griffin Park.

The American has failed to have an impact in west London since his switch from Leeds United in August.

Grella made just four starts for the Bees and a further 13 appearances off the bench, but couldn't cement a regular place in the side.

The 25-year-old found the net in just one game, scoring FOUR in the JPT romp over Bournemouth.

However, Grella has failed to even make the bench in recent weeks, and boss Uwe Rosler has agreed the terminate Grella's contract by mutual consent.

He said: “Unfortunately it hasn't worked out for both parties, and Mike has decided to explore different avenues.”
