BRENTFORD youngster Charlie Adams want to go on loan in a bid to get regular first-team football.

The 19-year-old midfielder impressed for the development squad last season and made his professional debut as a substitute in the 2-0 defeat at Carlisle in March.

Adams is well down the pecking order at Griffin Park, and is keen to follow Emmanuel Oyeleke out the door to get game time.

He said: “I need to play in the Football League and establish myself. I feel I've done that in development football but the men's game is completely different.

“That's what I need to do, whether that be going out on loan or playing here. I need some games under my belt.

“I spoke to Ose [Aibangee]. They want me to get games on loan and develop. That's the most important thing for me.

“I'm looking at the moment. Hopefully I can get a League Two club and we can kick on from there.”
