BRENTFORD have released Cleveland Taylor – clearing the decks for a move to St Johnstone.

The SPL side have swooped for the 26-year-old winger, who joined the Bees from Carlisle last summer.

Taylor never fulfilled the promise which persuaded boss Andy Scott to bring him to Griffin Park.

He made just 10 starts in TW8, scoring one goal, before being shipped out on loan to Burton Albion.

Brewers boss Paul Peschisolido was keen to keep him at the Pirelli Stadium, but St Johnstone have moved to bring him north of the border instead.
