SCOTT Barron is set to step up his recovery from a hip injury with a run out for Brentford's development squad against Crystal Palace today.

The former Millwall full-back missed five months after having an operation to clear up the niggling problem, but is back in full training with his Bees team-mates.

Barron made a return from injury in the pre-season friendly win against Boreham Wood last week, but has been restricted to just 45 minutes playing time.

However, the 27-year-old will get more action against a strong Palace XI as he closes in on full fitness.

Farid El Alagui is also pencilled in for 90 minutes, with youngsters Emmanuel Oyeleke and Charlie Adams expected to feature.
