SCOTT Barron stepped up his recovery from a hip injury this week as he closes in on a return to full training.
The Brentford defender has been sidelined for more than four months after going under the knife back in March.
However, the former Millwall full-back joined in some sessions with his Bees team-mates at the club's Jersey Road base as he eyes a return to the fold.
Meanwhile, Jonathan Douglas was also handed a boost after surgeons gave him the green light to step up his rehab.
The midfielder had a knee op during the summer and will miss the beginning of the season.
