MICKEY Spillane is training with Dagenham & Redbridge with view to a loan move to the League Two club.

The Brentford defender has made just one substitute's appearance since Uwe Rosler took charge in the summer.

Spillane, who is out of contract next year, told the Chronicle last month that he was open to a move away from Griffin Park in order to get first-team football.

The 22-year-old spent last week training with Cambridge United, but the Blue Square Premier club were unable to offer him a deal.

But the Irishman has been handed another chance at the Daggers as he bids to get his career back on track.
