BRENTFORD chief executive Andrew Mills has promised Andy Scott he has money to spend when the transfer window opens in January.

The Bees boss brought in 12 new faces in the summer – and has made several loan signings since – but his side are still languishing 13 th in the League One table.

Scott signed QPR striker Rowan Vine on loan until January last month, and Mills has given the green light to bring in more players in the new year.

He said: "There's money left for Andy in January in the event he needs to bring in players to have an affect on our final league placing.

"The agreement that the executive team had was that we knew the budget from day one and would not go back to the board for any further additions, so we didn't want to spend the entirety of the budget in the summer."
