BRENTORD boss Uwe Rosler insists his team has learned from their mistakes over the last month.
Bees dominated Scunthorpe, but only ended up with a slender win although the manager reckons it could and should have been a landslide.

Although the scoreline says only 1-0, Rosler pointed to another statistic.

“We had 27 attempts on goal, 17 on target, so with that kind of figure, eventually you have to score,” he said.

But recent home matches have not been as productive, and the coach (pic) says he knows why.

“We had the chance to take a foot off the pedal and it backfired on us and we dropped points,” he explained.

“I think now the players realised it after we paid the price and got away with it at Crawley on Tuesday.

“We can’t hold back a bit for the next game even though we are playing, Saturday, Tuesday, Saturday. We have to play at full tempo or it will cost us. But when you compare the games against Walsall and Bury, the tempo (against Scnthorpe) was that much better.”

In the end, Rosler and Bees fans were indebted to a well-worked move started by sub Stuart Dallas and finished off by second sub Tom Adeyemi that delivered the points late on.

It was the latter’s first touch of the ball, although it was the supplier who earned the Rosler praise.

The manager said: “Stuart knew when he came over from Ireland it would take time before he played.

“But he trains hard and he got his chance and he will get more chances in the future – because he changed this game very much in our favour.”
