BRENTFORD have pulled the plug on Jake Reeves' loan move to Hayes and Yeading as the midfielder is needed at Griffin Park as cover.

The youngster was set to join the Blue Square Premier outfit last week, only for illness to scupper the deal.

However, with Kevin O'Connor sidelined, boss Uwe Rosler has decided to keep the 18-year-old in TW8.

He said: “We couldn't include a recall clause in the deal, so Jake will be staying with us.

“There are a lot of games coming up and we need to make sure we're covered.”
