Hammersmith fighter George Groves has vowed to announce himself to the world by stunning Carl Froch at Wembley on Saturday.

The former Dale Youth boxer is not about to waste his second chance to take Froch’s IBF and WBA belts after he was controversially stopped when they met last November.

Groves will have the advantage of a home crowd in London and couldn’t think of a better venue to signal his arrival as a global super-middleweight star.

"You'll see a complete a performance as possible on Saturday night", Groves said at a press conference this lunchtime.

"I'm going to arrive - not just here in Britain but across the world.

"I'm going to become world champion in London in front of so many people.

“I want to be great ambassador for British boxing and that starts on Saturday night."

The hotly-anticipated rematch will take place in front of 80,000 fans and a TV audience of more than 200million.

But champion Froch insists he goes into the bout without a care in the world.

"I bring confidence and experience as well as being in unbelievable shape," he said.

"I'm convinced this fight won't go the distance. George Groves won't hear the final bell.

"This fight has that air of importance. This is by the far the biggest fight of my unbelievable career."

Meanwhile, Groves has told Get West London he believes ruthless ambition set him apart from mates at Dale Youth and led to the biggest west London boxing night in 53 years.
