IF THERE'S one man who can make an informed judgment on the next Commonwealth welterweight title winner - it's the boxer who fought both contenders.

Ben Hudson, aka 'Catweazle', from Cambridge, was beaten by both Shepherd's Bush's John O'Donnell and Craig Watson two years back - and ominously reckons Saturday night's bust-up between the two at York Hall is going the way of the Manchester man.

He said: "John is the only fighter to ever stop me, even though it was on a cut, and

Craig nearly knocked me out in the first round when I fought him. But if I had to pick I'd have to pick Craig.

"John's a better boxer, quicker on his feet and more naturally gifted, but Craig hits harder. He floored Amir Khan in his last amateur fight. He is also more durable and has got experience at championship level.

"I think Craig's greater punching power may wear John down and stop him late in the fight. If John can stay on his toes out of the way he can win the fight, but 12 rounds is a long time to survive."
