Ashford had mixed fortunes on the weekend, winning two and losing two of their matches.

They had the worst possible start in the Ladies Middlesex Doubles when they were thumped 50-10 at West Ealing. But the men clinched a clean sweep in their Thames Valley League clash with Wexham. They won all the singles, pairs and triples matches on their way to a 66-41 victory. However, the men were on the receiving end the following day as they slumped to a 44-16 defeat at Tilehurst in the National Club Two Fours competition.

Ashford saved the best for last, and the men and women joined forces to seal a thrilling 126-111 victory over Windsor Great Park.

They won three and drew one of their six rinks. R. Jones, J. Sayers, C. Stedman and D. Ayton Snr highest scoring with a 37-12 win.
