BRENTFORD'S Ryan Blake and Millwall's Tobi Alabi have returned to their parent clubs following loan spells with Hampton & Richmond Borough.

Left-back Blake was sent back to Griffin Park this week, while Alabi was called back to the New Den just days after agreeing an extension to his loan deal.

Beavers boss Mark Harper was able to let Blake go after bringing in Neil Jenkins from Sutton United, while the loss of Alabi will be softened by last week's return of Joel Ledgister, also from Sutton.

Harper said: “No disrespect to Ryan, who will make it as a good player one day, but we need some more experience at the back to help bring on the other youngsters and cut out the mistakes

“I enquired about Neil when he went on loan to Kingstonian as he ticks all the boxes for me, and when someone like that becomes available in a key position you have to act.

“I also enquired about Joel as I saw he hadn't been playing, and was delighted he was available. It's not just his goals we have missed, but also his partnership with Dave Tarpey – they really hit it off.”
